Production Music Live
This is session 7 of the YouTube Series with Francois PML called "Producer Notes". In Episode 007 we're analysing the Melodic Techno style of artists "ARTBAT".
Watch and see what we can learn from this style sitting somewhere between Melodic Techno and Progressive House.
The key lessons from this episode are:
- Style works with a lot of simplicity
- Bass: often rolling basslines
- Low-End Clean style, very straightforward
- Drum programming very straightforward (not too playful)
- Epic Chords, emotive soundscapes (get inspired by soundtracks)
- Very clear arrangements, good style for festival stages/clubs
- There’s always room for more ear candy or some vocals (good for remixing)
- Synths: simple tip to add movement on a sound by turning an auto-pan into an “LFO”
